POSTER FOR DC IN CLUB DAY

As a part of Dance Club, I was asked to design a poster for the Latin Dance Class for this Club Day. Uhm, at the beginning, I started to take the photograph of our teachers to design the poster. However, the first draft version of this poster is really stupid that I dont dare to post it rite here, *.~. Uhm, after a long time finding the way to arrange every information and image, I have come up with the following designs. Uhm, I have receive many comments from the other team member. So, I have change my design alot to reach the general agreement ><
1. 2nd version:
With this one, I wanna change the common color of the Latin Dance with only Red, Yellow, Black, etc. So, I start with the white background. Then, I try to make the pictures of my teachers to be black like that. The reason for this is that they dont really want to have the envy with the other teacher of the other class. Uhm, instead of using just the shape of the models, I tried to make it both clear and "unclear". They said that I'm so krazie for doing this, but I like it because it's different to any other format of Pictures like this and it's my own style! ^^

2. 3rd version:

Uhm, they still dont like the crazy way I have done above, so they need the traditional way of using color>_<. Ok, I have tried to change it and using the real image and come up with this one. The other guys like this most but they think that this is just like a Halloween mood! Is it?
3. 4th version:
Uhm, this time, I try to use the shape of the body, not so different, however, it looks interesting that I wanna show it here for ya to view. ^^

4. The Last Version:
Uhm, this is the final version that my "clients" agree with most, so, this is what they want! In my opinion, it's just like the traditional poster, nothing new! I dont like it much! Anyway, tell me if it is good or not! ^_^

THE SUN AND THE MOON

From the beginning of Human Being, there had been hundreds of the myths of the Sun and Moon. These myths have different contents and meanings in different cultures. After researching, I have found different tales of the Sun and Moon that I have separated those in the main areas as following:

  1. Myths of the Sun:

- Egyptians: The sun god of the Egyptians named Re (or Ra) is believed to be the creator of creatures including Human Being. He has created the first couple of human being from his tears who are Shu and Tefnut. These are the parents of the Earth and sky.

- Greeks : The sun god of the Greek are told to be driven from the east to the west everyday by his son Helios. At the end of his journey, he comes back to the ocean.

- Chinese: It used to be believed that there were 10 suns in the sky in the 10-day week of the Chinese. Each day, there would be one of them on the trip through the sky. However, they decided to appear at the same time in the sky. Then, the heat was too much for human that they asked each to appear separately. However, they refused, so 9 of them were killed and only one has remained till today.

- Aboriginal: everything on the earth today was created by the Sun Mother and the Father of Spirit. The Sun Mother had come to the earth and every place she passed on the earth, the plants and creature started to grow up and develop.

  1. Myths of the Moon:

- Africa: The Moon was called Mawu. She was believed to be the god of the night, joy and motherhood because she brings the cooler temperatures to the African World. That’s the mother from the West.

- Hinduism: in Hinduism, the Moon was called Soma, who is carried the elixir of the immortality. When the God drink that elixir, the moon is waned. The hare was also believed as a incarnation of the Soma.

- Greek: the god of Moon was Artemis who is the twin sister of the god Apollo. Their parents were Zeus and Latona. Artemis is also known as the god of Hunter.

- Chinese: As there were 10 suns for the 10-day Week, there were also 12 moons for 12 months in the years. Their mother is Heng-O. The Moon was believed to be made of water, that at the beginning of each month, their mother would wash them at the lake in the west side and they start their trip to the other side in 1 month.
